Phil Burleigh to face disciplinary hearing on Wednesday

Edinburgh centre Phil Burleigh is set to undergo a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday for an alleged slapping incident involving Stade Francais' Pascal Pape during the European Challenge Cup encounter last weekend.

Referee Craig Maxwell-Keys handed a red card to Burleigh in the 55th minute of the game, however, the French lock Pape was also criticised for making most of the contact by throwing himself to the ground.

The 30-year-old will appear in front of an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday.

Ediburgh currently top Pool five of the European Challenge Cup table after winning all the three games.
