Exeter Chiefs have announced that centre Ollie Devoto will be leaving the Gallagher Premiership club at the end of the ongoing 2023/24 campaign.

Devoto started playing for his local club Sherborne RFC from when he was seven years old and was picked up by Bath Academy at the age of 17. He made his first team debut against Wasps in a Premiership clash and also had a loan stint with Cornish Pirates.

He made a switch to Exeter Chiefs in 2016 and has made 127 appearances across eight seasons. He was also part of the squad that won two Premiership titles and a Champions Cup triumph in 2020.

Devoto has also played two times for England and won the Junior World Cup with England's Under 20 side in 2013.

“I probably haven’t really given actually leaving too much thought but as I start to reflect, it’s going to be so different and a bit of a shock as this club has been a massive part of my life for the past eight years," he told the club's official website.

"I’ve had some unbelievable memories that I’ll remember forever.

“We’ve been really successful and played so many finals. I’m so lucky to have played with some of the best players in the world, on the biggest stages and to have won trophies. It was all a dream come true.

“I’ve made some great friends and met some very unique individuals. I think over my eight years as a Chief I’ve gotten better as a rugby player, but I’ve definitely gotten better as a human being as well. I’m just so thankful to have been part of this club.”
