Munster 38-0 Cheetahs, Limerick

Munster kick-started the new Pro14 season with a thumping 38-0 win over Toyota Cheetahs in Limerick on Saturday.

Rory Scannell (16') and Dave Kilcoyne (31') scored the first half tries for Munster with fly-half JJ Hanrahan scoring the conversion on the second occasion as they scored 12 unanswered points in the first half.

Things just turned from bad to worse for the South African side as Munster further upped the ante in the final 30 minutes with further tries from Tommy O'Donnell (53'), Hanrahan (66'), Dave O'Callaghan (71') and Darren Sweetnam (73').

Hanrahan also converted three out of the four second half tries as the Irish side dominated the Saturday's encounter against a struggling Cheetahs side to complete a convincing 38-0 bonus point victory.

The win has also put Munster at the top of Conference A with Cheetahs lined up at the bottom.

Munster will face Glasgow Warriors next at Scotstoun Stadium with Cheetahs moving to Liberty Stadium to take on Ospreys. Both the games scheduled to be played on 8th September.
