Ireland 53-7 Argentina, Aviva Stadium

Ireland went on to score seven tries as they trounced Argentina 53-7 in the final game of the autumn internationals at Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

The victory also meant Andy Farrell's men finished their campaign undefeated after registering victories over Japan and New Zealand previously.

Even though Ireland dominated the game, Argentina were the first to get off the block as Thomas Gallo and Santiago Grondona combined to send Mateo Carreras over the line and Emiliano Boffelli kicked the conversion as they raced to a 0-7 lead.

Ireland responded back immediately with Joey Carbery slotting a penalty goal in the 6th minute and four minutes later they got their first try as Ronan Kelleher dived at the back of a maul and Carbery kicked the extras to make it 10-7.

The hosts got their second try in the 24th minute when Andrew Porter powered his way over in the 24th minute but three minutes later Argentina missed a chance to narrow down the gap with Boffelli's penalty going wide.

Ireland were the dominating team at the end of the opening half as Baloucoune makes a strong burst in setting up Caelan Doris, who made a strong finish surviving desperate tackle effort from the Pumas. Carbery kicked the conversion as Farrell's men extended their lead to 24-7.

The start of the second half saw Pablo Matera sin-binned for a deliberate knock on with Carbery following with a penalty goal and in the 57th minute he kicked the conversion to Josh van der Flier's try as the scoreline became 34-7. Any chance of a comeback for Argentina was put off as Tomas Lavanini was sent-off for a dangerous tackle on Ryan Baird.

With no resistance from Argentina, Ireland got their fifth try with Dan Sheehan touching down at the back of the maul and Carbery kicked the extras making it 41-7. The final seven minutes saw Cian Healy and Tadhg Beirne also joining the scoring sheet as Farrell's men completed a massive 53-7 win to round off their campaign on a high.
