London Irish back-row Jack Cooke has extended his stay at the Gallagher Premiership club after signing a new contract.

The 23-year-old is a product of London Irish Academy and went on to make his Premiership debut against Bath Rugby in the 2017/18 season. He has gone on to make 26 appearances for the club until now and has also captained them on a number of occasions since September last year.

He has also represented Ireland Under 20 side in the past.

“I’m delighted to be staying at London Irish” he told the club's official website.

“I have played for Irish for my entire career, so it was a no brainer to continue on the journey here. It’s an exciting time at the Club, and I want to be a part of it.”

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney is delighted with Cooke committing his immediate future with the club.

“Jack is a great ambassador for the Club” he said.

“He has a great understanding of the game matched by a determination to improve. We look forward to seeing his progression continue with us.”

London Irish finished their Gallagher Premiership campaign at ninth place after managing six wins from 22 games.
