London Welsh have announced that scrum-half Tyson Keats has rejoined the Championship club.

Keats innocently found himself at the centre of the Exiles' five-point deduction last season that accelerated their relegation from the Aviva Premiership.

They were docked points after Welsh's former team manager Mike Scott admitted supplying false information about New Zealander Keats' player registration, including a forged passport, to the Rugby Football Union (RFU).

Scott was subsequently handed a life ban from any involvement in rugby by the RFU.

Keats, 32, is now moving back to the club after he made 18 appearances for them last term.

Keats has previously played Super Rugby with the Wellington-based Hurricanes, while he helped Canterbury win Air New Zealand Cup titles in 2008 and 2009.
