The Crusaders have solidified their future by securing a contract extension for promising lock Jamie Hannah, keeping him with the team until 2028.
The 22-year-old rising star has shown tremendous potential since making his debut in 2023, becoming an integral part of the team’s plans for the future.
Hailing from Canterbury, Hannah grew up dreaming of representing the Crusaders, a team he admired throughout his youth.
His journey through the Crusaders Academy paved the way for his debut in the 2023 season, a moment he described as unforgettable.

The towering lock, who stands at an impressive 200 cm, has already made a mark with his physical presence and work ethic on the field. His commitment to the Crusaders reinforces his desire to continue building on his development within the team.
"This is the only Super Rugby team I want to be playing for," Hannah stated, emphasizing his loyalty and pride in representing the Crusaders.
Crusaders Head Coach Rob Penney expressed his excitement about Hannah’s decision to extend his stay, highlighting the lock’s growth and future potential.
"Jamie has developed significantly during his time with us. We are excited to see him take the next steps in his career and grow into a key player for the team," Penney said.
