James Lowe and Jamie Osborne have officially signed new contracts to extend their stay with Leinster, reinforcing the province's backline strength.

Their re-signing is a significant boost for both Leinster and Irish rugby, as both players played crucial roles in the recent Six Nations campaign.

Lowe, 32, was among Ireland's standout performers in this year's Six Nations. He started in four games but was forced to miss the crucial round four clash against France due to a back spasm suffered during the warm-up. His absence was felt, highlighting his influence on the team.

Since joining Leinster in 2017, Lowe has been a prolific try-scorer, amassing 61 tries in 86 appearances for the province. The New Zealand-born winger, who recently became an Irish citizen, has earned 40 caps for Ireland, crossing the try line 17 times.

Osborne, 23, has been making rapid strides in both club and international rugby. His Six Nations debut came in round three when he started at full-back against Wales. A week later, he was thrust into a last-minute positional change, switching from the right to the left wing to cover for Lowe's absence against France.

Osborne has earned seven Test caps for Ireland, scoring two tries, and has made 57 appearances for Leinster, contributing six tries. His versatility across the backline makes him a valuable asset for both club and country.

Leinster has been proactive in retaining key talent, with Jack Conan and Ryan Baird also signing contract extensions.
