Jaguares 22-8 Reds, Estadio Jose Amalfitani
Scorecard

A double sin-bin for Queensland Reds costed them dearly as Jaguares came up with a three-try performance to seal a 22-8 win in their Super rugby clash at Estadio Jose Amalfitani.

After the first 15 minutes went without a point, Reds suffered a major setback when wing Eto Nabuli and lock Kane Douglas were yellow-carded in the 17th and 18th minutes respectively.

Jaguares capitalised on the advantage with centre Jeronimo de la Fuente and wing Ramiro Moyano Joya crossed over with fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez adding the extra.

Even though fly-half Jake McIntyre got Reds off the mark with a penalty, it was negated by Martin Hernandez as the hosts went into half time with a 12 point lead.

The Jaguares onslaught continued in the second half when de la Fuente went past the line for the second time in the game with hooker Agustin Creevy adding the conversion.

Number eight Scott Higginbotham raised Reds' hopes when he rumbled past the line with a 56th minute try but failed to press hard in the final quarter as they lost by 14 points.

Jaguares are now second in Africa 2 conference while Reds are at third in Australian group.
