Scorecard

Stormers scored two tries in each half as they completed a 32-25 victory in their Super Rugby clash against Jaguares at DHL Newlands on Saturday.

The first 15 minutes saw both fly-halves Jean-Luc du Plessis and Nicolas Sanchez exchange penalties. Hooker Agustin Creevy got Jaguares in the front with a try in the 15th minute but centre EW Viljoen and Jano Vermaak crossed over in the 23rd and 27th minute with du Plessis adding extras to take the scoreline to 17-8.

Sanchez added a conversion at stroke of half time to bring down the gap to six points.

Du Plessis extended Stormers advantage in the second when he added three more points in the 43rd minute but Jaguares bounced back when Santiago Cordero went past the line in the 51st minute. Sanchez's conversion reduced the difference to just two points.

Jaguares suffered a major setback when flanker Pablo Matera and Matias Orlando were sin-binned in the 61st and 63rd minute respectively which also resulted in a penalty try for Stormers.

Even though, Cordero raised Jaguares hopes with a try in the 66th minute, fullback SP Marais ensured Stormers completed a seven point victory when he went past the line in the 71st minute.
