Wing Ramiro Moyano Joya scored a hat-trick as Jaguares sealed a 39-14 convincing win against Cheetahs in their Super Rugby clash at Estadio Jose Amalfitani on Saturday.

Moyano Joya amassed two tries in the sixth and 28th minute separated by a cross over from lock Matias Alemanno while fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez added conversions on all the three occasions while also scoring a penalty to take Jaguares to 24 points at the end of the first half.

Cheetahs reply came through a touchdown from Michael van der Spuy in the 25th minute followed by a conversion from Niel Marais as they trailed by 17 points at the end of the first half.

Martin Hernandez extended Jaguares lead in the second half with a 51st minute penalty. As the game entered the final 10 minutes, Jaguares lost replacement Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias when he was sin-binned and also resulted in a try for Cheetahs replacement Joeseph Dweba.

However, Moyano Joya strolled past the post for the third time in the 75th minute followed by a penalty try to seal a 25-point victory for Jaguares.

Jaguares now top the Africa 2 Group while Cheetahs are second in Africa 1 conference.
