Harlequins have confirmed that back-row forward Jack Kenningham has signed a new contract, securing his future with the club.
The 26-year-old is a product of the Harlequins pathway and first represented the club during the 2017/18 season in A League competition before progressing into the full-time academy setup ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
A lifelong supporter who grew up near The Stoop, Kenningham made his senior debut against Newcastle Falcons in February 2021.
He quickly established himself during the 2020/21 season, playing a role in Harlequins’ PREM title-winning campaign and featuring in both the semi-final and final during his first year in the senior squad.
Since then, his career has included periods of injury, most notably a fractured neck suffered in 2022, before returning to become a key figure in the side.
Kenningham has now made 85 senior appearances for Harlequins, earning a reputation for his work rate, breakdown efficiency and lineout contribution.
During the 2024/25 season, he finished with the second-highest turnover count in the Gallagher PREM, underlining his influence at the breakdown.
His performances were recognised at the club’s end-of-season awards, where he was named Players’ Player, Supporters’ Player and Player of the Season. Kenningham has also featured for England A and was included in Steve Borthwick’s wider England training squad for the 2025 Quilter Nations Series.
“I’m over the moon to be staying on. It’s the place I have come through the Academy and broken into the First Team, and I am loving life playing for this Club,” said Kenningham.
“Going from supporter into the Academy and onto the First Team is special – it’s hard to put into words how it feels. I’m excited for the next few years and where we can go as team, there is a lot of potential.
“I feel so close to so many of the supporters and many of my friends and family love coming to The Stoop. The Club has been a big part of my life, and I feel as though Quins is part of me. I’m delighted to be staying on and continue playing for this Club.”
