Harlequins on Wednesday have confirmed the death of their 20-year-old prop Seb Adeniran-Olule due to a road collision.

Harlequins expressed its condolence by releasing a press statement on behalf of all at the club who are "deeply saddened" by the tragedy.

The front-row forward has been a part of Quins for the last seven years.

Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea, expressed his sympathies for Adeniran-Olule's family and friends. He remembered Adeniran-Olule for being an incredible talent who will be dearly missed by the entire club.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Seb's family and friends at this difficult time.

"Seb was an incredible talent and had already represented England at under-age level, as well as making his senior debut for Quins at just 20.

"He will be sorely missed by the whole squad, as well as by the wider club."

Adeniran-Olule, made three first-team appearances for the Quins which included this season's European Challenge Cup pool match against Italian club Calvisano.

Adeniran-Olule made his U18 debut against Wales in 2014 which England went on to win by 43-12. He also featured for England's U16 squad.

His U20 debut came against Ireland in February last year, as he also started the final two Six Nations games against Scotland and France.

The Rugby Football Union's national academy development manager John Fletcher gave a glowing tribute to Adeniran-Olule.

"I am devastated. He was a fantastic kid.

"He was one of the most skillful players in his position I have ever seen.

"He always played the game with a big smile on his face and could do some phenomenal things with the ball.

"As a character he was quiet, had incredible work-rate, was popular and first to learn.

"On the pitch, he would get you off your seat, and as a front-row player that is fairly rare. He had some outstanding moments with the ball in hand.

"He should be remembered as a great kid. I loved coaching him. It's a tragic loss."

More tributes came in for Adeniran-Olule including those from a number of Adeniran-Olule's England U20 teammates.
