Ellie Kildunne will leave Harlequins at the end of the 2025/26 season, bringing her five-year spell with the Premiership Women’s Rugby club to a close.
The England full-back said she was “gutted” by the decision and reflected on her time at the Stoop in an emotional social media post.
“After five years at Quins, it’s hard to put into words how much this place has meant to me.
“I’ve shared so many moments here – on the field, in the changing room, and with friendships that will stay with me long after I leave.
“I’ve always tried to be the best player I can be, giving everything I have every time I step onto the pitch.
“For me, that’s always been about being in the right environment – one where I can be unapologetically myself and work with those who truly value each individual and what they bring to the team.
“I’m incredibly grateful to the supporters and my team-mates who’ve inspired me to play the rugby I love.
“Things may not always be in our control, and I’m gutted to be leaving, I wish everyone at Quins the best for what’s next.”
Ellie Kildunne To Leave Harlequins
Harlequins confirmed that Kildunne will depart after the current campaign. The 26-year-old joined the club from Wasps in 2021 and became one of the most high-profile players in the women’s game during her time with Quins.
Kildunne has scored 52 tries in 60 appearances for Harlequins, underlining her importance as one of the club’s most dangerous attacking players. However, Harlequins have missed out on the Premiership Women’s Rugby play-offs this season, meaning she has already played her final match for the club.
England Full-Back Yet To Confirm New Club
Kildunne’s next club has not yet been announced. She is understood to be keen on continuing her playing career in England, with her England ambitions expected to play a major role in her next move.
The full-back remains a key figure for the Red Roses and has built a reputation as one of the most exciting backs in world rugby.
