Sale Sharks winger Byron McGuigan will miss Scotland's upcoming Six Nations clash against France at BT Murrayfield Stadium following a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old suffered the blow during the 54th minute in the opening round of the tournament against Wales which Gregor Townsend's men went on to lose 34-7 at Principality Stadium last weekend.

A statement released by the Scottish Rugby Union confirmed that lock Richie Gray and Duncan Taylor, who are recovering from a calf and head injury respectively will continue to remain on the sidelines and will miss the upcoming clash against France.

Scotland are currently placed fifth in the Championship table and will line up against France and England in the next two rounds on 11th and 24th February respectively.
