Glasgow Warriors tight-head prop Ewan McQuillin has signed a new deal with the Scottish regional club ahead of the 2021/22 season.

A product of Scottish Rugby Academy, McQuillin went on to play for Edinburgh, London Scottish and Yorkshire Carnegie before joining the Warriors in 2020 on a short-term deal.

The 29-year-old made his debut for the Warriors in February last year when the Warriors hosted the Dragons in the Pro14 and till date has made two appearances for the club.

“Playing for Glasgow means a lot to me. It’s a great club with a lot of history behind it and all I want to do is keep pushing for my spot in the 23 and to get to pull on the Glasgow Warriors jersey again," he told the club's official website.

“I had a lot of work ons last season around my conditioning – the suspension of the league and the FOSROC Super6 had meant I had been out the game for some time.

“I worked really hard last year to get to a place where both myself and the club were happy with, and I’ve been rewarded with another contract which I’m over the moon about.

“This season for me is about building on my improvements from last year and earning a spot on the team sheet.

“I’m really happy to get another deal with Glasgow. It’s made all my hard work well worth it.”
