Glasgow Warriors will miss the services of fly-half Tom Jordan for the European Challenge Cup final against Toulon following a five-week suspension.

Jordan was red-carded in the United Rugby Championship quarter-final game against Munster for a high tackle on Conor Murray last weekend.

He was handed a 10-week ban that was reduced by half taking into account his guilty plea, conduct during hearing and other mitigating factors.

It was initially mentioned that the 24-year-old would not miss the final clash with his suspension included three Super Series Sprint games this season, Barbarians v Swansea RFC on May 31 and the first Super 6 Series match of next season.

Nevertheless, the URC issued a statement that the ban would also include the Challenge Cup final against Toulon.

The ban could reduce to four weeks if he successfully completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme.

The absence of Jordan could see Glasgow head coach Franco Smith could opt for Domingo Miotto and Duncan Weir at the fly-half role.
