England U20 Prop Prospect Jamieson Signs for the Pirates

The Cornish Pirates are delighted to confirm that they have captured the signature of tight-head prop Adam Jamieson.

Aged just 20, Adam is a player who has considerable potential to develop in the senior game, having already featured in Bath Rugby's 'B' side, Bath United, who in 2013/14 were crowned the Premiership A League champions. During the past season he also spent a short loan spell with The Scarlets, when he appeared for the Welsh regional side in the LV= Cup competition.

Born in Swindon, Adam played his early rugby at Corsham RFC. He attended The Corsham School, and then moved to Filton College, Bristol, where he studied for a BTEC in Sports and Exercise Science. Having been a member of the prestigious Filton College Rugby Academy, Adam became part of Bath Rugby's Academy and was on a Rugby Scholarship at Bath University, where he studied for a Foundation Degree in Sports Performance.

Honours for Adam include having played for England under 19s and England Students, whilst he has also been a member of the England under 20s squad. He also enjoys coaching and developing young players, and is at present a Level 2 RFU Coach.

Commenting with reference to this latest addition to the Cornish Pirates squad, Director of Rugby Ian Davies said:

"Adam has been on my radar since earlier in the season when he was marked out to me as someone to look out for. Having completed his studies at Bath University he will now come under the scrum tutorage of Alan (Paver) and learn his trade with the Pirates."
