The Fijian Drua will open their 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign against Moana Pasifika on February 14 at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
The fixture will mark the first match of the new season, confirmed by the franchise earlier this week.
Since entering Super Rugby Pacific in 2022, the Drua have held the upper hand in this Pacific rivalry. They have won four of the six encounters against Moana Pasifika, underlining their dominance in this head-to-head battle.
Head coach Glen Jackson said starting at home would give his side a strong boost. “We can’t wait to open our 2026 season against our Pacific brothers at our fortress in Lautoka.
"It’s always a fierce contest when we meet, a true reflection of the passion both teams bring,” he said.
Moana Pasifika’s head coach Tana Umaga echoed that the fixture carries a special meaning for both sides.
“It’s always exciting playing against them, and to start the season with a match in Fiji is going to be special.
"Rugby brings people together and that is very real in Fiji. It’s one of the toughest places to play but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
