Rebels 19-41 Crusaders, AAMI Park
Scorecard

Jed Brown scored a double as Crusaders registered their 13th consecutive win this season after defeating Rebels 19-41 in their Super Rugby clash at AAMI Park on Saturday.

Manasa Mataele (16'), Seta Tamanivalu (30') and Brown (25' and 35') were the try scorers for Crusaders in the first half while Richie Mo'unga added four conversions and a penalty to take the score to 31 points at half time.

Rebels, who suffered a setback after a 24th minute sin-bin to Reece Hodge, managed a solitary try that came from Marika Koroibete as they trailed by 24 points at the end of the first half.

Even though, Rebels showed more intent with a try from Toby Smith at the start of the second half, David Kaetau Havili negated it with a touchdown in the 45th minute. Mataele tried his best to keep Rebels in the hunt with his second try but Mitchell Drummond ensured Crusaders completed a 22 point victory.

Crusaders top the New Zealand Conference with 59 points while Rebels languish at the bottom of the Australian Conference.
