Crusaders have been dealt an injury blow as All Blacks hooker Codie Taylor has been sidelined following a rib injury.

Taylor sustained the blow during the 13th round clash of Super Rugby Pacific against Brumbies where he was replaced at the end of the first half.

Despite, Taylor's absence, the New Zealand club went on to win the encounter 37-26 riding on a double from Irae Simone and touchdowns from Folau Fainga'a and Tom Wright.

The club had already confirmed that Taylor does not require scans but will be unavailable for the upcoming round clash against Fijian Drua to be played at Orangetheory Stadium on 20th May.

Crusaders currently are at third place in the Super Rugby Pacific table with nine victories from 12 matches.
