Cardiff Blues have confirmed that prop Ben Warren will leave the club at the end of the ongoing 2021/22 season.

The 21-year-old is a product of Cardiff Blues Academy and had represented Rhondda Schools and Ystrad Rhondda RFC in the past and also was part of the Wales Under 20 side in the last two years.

He will now head to Ospreys next season after signing a two year deal with the Welsh regional club.

Cardiff academy manager Gruff Rees wished Warren good luck on his future endeavours.

"Ben departs with our very best wishes. We've been proud to see the way he's developed at the club over the years, and that remains true for all players whether their future is here at Cardiff Arms Park or elsewhere.

"We're blessed with a very competitive front row unit, but this is a good opportunity for Ben to go out and test himself in a new environment.

"We want to thank Ben for his efforts, both at age grade and academy level, over the years."

Cardiff Blues finished fourth in Conference B table of Pro14 with eight wins from 16 games while their European Challenge Cup campaign ended with a 41-35 defeat to London Irish in the round-of-16 clash last weekend.
