Scorecard

It proved to be an embarrassing outing for Sunwolves at GIO Stadium as the Japanese side succumbed to a heavy 66-5 defeat against Brumbies in the round 14 Super Rugby fixture on Saturday.

In a 10-try marathon delight for the home crowd, the Australian club completely dominated the visitors.

Hooker Stephen Moore (17', 42') and wing Nigel Ah Wong (31', 81'+2) scored a double for the Canberra side, whereas Scott Fardy (12'), Michael Dowsett (23'), Aidan Toua (55'), Jordan Jackson-Hope (56'), James Dargaville (60') and Lausii Taliauli (75') scored a try each.

Fly-half Christian Leali'ifano managed to make eight successful conversions as the bonus-point win helped Brumbies reach the top of the Australian Conference by toppling Waratahs.

Sunwolves' Akihito Yamada was the lone scorer for his side as the wing crossed over for a try on the 66th minute.

This defeat has resulted in the Japanese side to remain at the bottom of the South African Group after accumulating nine points from 12 games with a solitary 36-28 win against the Jaguares.
