Bristol have acquired the signing of Australia international Luke Morahan ahead of the next season.

The 26-year-old fullback made his professional rugby debut in 2009 with the Super Rugby side Queensland Reds and joined Western Force in 2014.

Having made his debut for Wallabies in 2012, Morahan has featured in three Tests with his last appearance coming in the last year's November Test against France. He was also part of the Silver medal winning Australia Sevens team during the Common Wealth Games in 2010.

Bristol interim head coach Mark Tainton believes Morahan's inclusion will bring more flexibility to the side.

"Luke is an impressive player with excellent technical abilities," said Tainton.

"He has got a lot of raw pace and versatility, and can play across the back-line."

Current Connacht head coach Pat Lam is set to take in charge of Bristol in the next season. In the ongoing season of Aviva Premiership, Bristol are battling relegation after languishing at the bottom of the table with three wins from 17 matches.
