Saracens have reinforced their long-term vision by securing Director of Rugby Mark McCall and his senior coaching team on contract extensions, ensuring continuity and experience as the club targets a return to the summit of European rugby.

McCall - who has steered Saracens since 2011 - remains supported by key lieutenants: Head Coach Joe Shaw, Senior Rugby Coach Dan Vickers, Forwards Coach Ian Peel, Defence Coach Adam Powell, and assistant coach Rob Webber.

McCall—who has overseen Saracens’ golden era since taking charge in 2011—continues to be supported by Head Coach Joe Shaw, Senior Rugby Coach Dan Vickers, Forwards Coach Ian Peel, Defence Coach Adam Powell, and assistant coach Rob Webber.

Under McCall’s leadership, Saracens have claimed 10 major trophies:

  • Five Premiership titles (2011, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019)
  • Three European Champions Cups (2016, 2017, 2019)

McCall commented on the renewed terms, saying:

“I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to continue our work with a hungry, motivated group of players and high calibre staff who care deeply about the players they support.

“We believe that the group has the talent and the drive to develop into a special team.”

Chairman Dominic Silvester expressed enthusiasm at solidifying the coaching framework alongside recent signings such as Owen Farrell and CEO Charlie Beall.

“Mark, Joe, Dan, Ian, Adam & Rob are the heartbeat of this team… I cannot wait to see what this next stage in their Saracens story entails.”
