Australia international Allan Ala'alatoa will be on the sidelines for the next six weeks after suffering a broken arm in the recently concluded Super Rugby game against Waratahs.

The 26-year-old played 29 minutes during the game at GIO Stadium before leaving the field injured.

“He just needs to get an X-ray but if you were a betting man that would be the way you’d lean,” said Brumbies coach Dan McKellar following the game.

Despite the injury setback to Ala'alatoa, who has featured in 37 Tests for the Wallabies, Brumbies went on to win the encounter 47-14 with Solomone Kata and Tom Wright scoring four out of the seven tries.

Brumbies currently hold the top position in Australian Conference with five wins from six games. The Super Rugby tournament has been suspended indefinitely following the outbreak of coronavirus.
