The Blues have confirmed that outside back Zarn Sullivan has signed a new contract that will keep him at the Super Rugby Pacific club until the end of the 2028 season.

Sullivan Extends Blues Contract

A product of King’s College and the club’s development system, he has been part of the Blues setup since his teenage years and has steadily built his place within the squad. His re-signing reflects the franchise’s long-term confidence in his ability and development.

Zarn Sullivan Rugby Journey With The Blues

Sullivan first gained wider recognition through representative rugby with NZ Maori Schools and NZ Schools, where he played at first five-eighth.

He later progressed into the Blues A team in 2020 before making his mark in provincial rugby with Auckland in the NPC. During that season, he earned eight caps at fullback while also training with the Blues as injury cover.

His senior Blues debut came in the final round of the 2021 Super Rugby Aotearoa season, when he started at fullback against the Chiefs at Eden Park. That appearance was especially notable as he lined up against his brother, Bailyn Sullivan.

Blues Backline Plans For Super Rugby Pacific

Sullivan said the Blues remain a special club for him and that he is motivated by what lies ahead with the team.

“This club means a lot to me. I’ve come through the system here and had incredible support from the coaches, players and staff along the way,” Sullivan said.

“I feel like I’ve still got more to achieve and a lot more to give. I’m excited about where this group is heading and grateful to be part of it for the next few years.”
