Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of fly-half Jono Lance on a short-term deal.

Lance will join the likes of Tom Heathcote, Sam Olver and Jamie Shillcock to bolster the options for the Sixways outfit in the ongoing season.

The 27-year-old has a six-year experience in Super Rugby during which he has represented Queensland Reds, Waratahs and Western Force.

Worcester rugby director Gary Gold is confident that Lance's experience in Australia will aid the club.

"Jono is a player who's got vast experience at the top level having won Super Rugby titles with different clubs," said Gold.

"He will help drive the competition for the number 10 jersey and we're looking forward to seeing what he has to offer."

Meanwhile, Lance is looking forward to what will be his debut in the Aviva Premiership.

"I'm really excited about the opportunity to represent the Warriors in the Aviva Premiership."

Worcester Warriors are languishing at the bottom of the table in the ongoing season with five defeats from as many games.
