Worcester’s busy summer continued after they signed Zimbabwe prop Farai Mudariki from French club Stado Tarbes Pyrenees.

Mudariki is the 11th signing so far for the Warriors and will arrive at Sixways next month after the Rugby Africa Gold Cup, which is a 2019 World Cup qualifier.

Zimbabwe take on Tunisia this weekend and Mudariki will win his 10th cap for his country.

The 23-year-old will join the likes of Michael Fatialofa, Callum Black, Cornell du Preez and Issac Miller in the Worcester pack for this upcoming season as Director of Rugby Alan Solomons bolsters his forward options.

Solomons told the club’s website: “I’m very happy with the shape of our squad for the 2018/19 campaign. We have plenty of strength in depth and I’m genuinely excited about next season.

“A big work-on for us is our consistency. The team has shown on a number of occasions that we can compete with the best in the league but now we must seek to do that on a regular basis as we look to try and drive up the Premiership table.”

In terms of the backs, Worcester have brought in Scott van Breda from Championship side Jersey Reds with Michael Heany joining from Doncaster whilst Ashley Beck (Ospreys), Francois Venter (Cheetahs) and Duncan Weir (Edinburgh) have swapped the Pro 14 for the Gallagher Premiership.

Fly-half Jono Lance is also amongst the backs as he has made the move from Queensland Reds to the Midlands.
