Cornish Pirates have confirmed that hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie has joined the club on a five-week loan deal from Leicester Tigers.

A product of Exeter Academy, Cowan-Dickie before making his senior debut with the Chiefs in 2009. During his time with Exeter, he also had loan stints with Redruth, Cornish Pirates and Plymouth Albion.

His first contract with Cornish Pirates started in 2017 and went on to make 61 games for them across two spells.

The 30-year-old joined Leicester Tigers in September last year before agreeing a permanent move to the Premiership toppers.

"At a time when hooker cover is of help, the opportunity to loan Tom back has arisen having developed a great relationship with Leicester Tigers over recent months," Cornish Pirates chief executive Rebecca Thomas told the club website.

"Tom left us towards the end of rehab from his most recent injury and so I am sure he will be looking forward to getting out on the Mennaye in front of a crowd as much as the supporters will enjoy seeing him back with us for this spell."
