Plymouth Albion have confirmed that forward Jake Clemson has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Jake Clemson Re-Signs With Plymouth Albion
Clemson, who stands at 6ft 6in, brings leadership and significant experience to Albion’s forward pack. He has made more than 130 senior appearances during his career across National League and Championship rugby.
Born in Gibraltar and raised in St Ives, Clemson began his rugby journey in Cornwall before progressing through the pathway and earning England Under-18 honours.
Plymouth Albion Strengthen Forward Pack
Clemson began his senior career with Redruth in 2017 before moving to Cornish Pirates, where he made more than 20 appearances in the Championship.
He also gained further senior rugby experience during loan spells back at Redruth before joining Plymouth Albion in 2021. Since then, he has become a familiar figure at Brickfields and an important part of the squad.
Clemson is now preparing for his fifth season with Plymouth Albion. His ability to operate in both the second row and back row gives the club valuable flexibility heading into the 2026/27 campaign.
His line-out presence, mobility and experience have made him a dependable option for Albion. Although his 2025/26 season was cut short by injury, his recovery is progressing well as he works towards a return to action.
