With the calendar year drawing to a close we at Talking Rugby Union wanted to know who ‘your’ World XV of 2013 is.

Who has dazzled you with skill this year? Or stunned you with power and pace? Who have been your best players of 2013? After an enthralling year of international rugby, there’s plenty to choose from…

The IRPA (International Rugby Players Association) has picked a World XV rugby team for 2013.  There are some interesting selections with Wesley Fofana making the team at inside centre and Aaron Cruden beating Dan Carter.  In the forwards Sam Warburton's selection probably raises the most eyebrows given the number of quality openside flankers around.

Israel Folau was named the Newcomer of the Year, while Kieran Read was the Player of the Year.

Seven All Blacks make this World XV and no Wallabies do.  Do you agree with this team?  I thought Jean De Villiers deserved the Number 12 spot.

World XV: Leigh Halfpenny (Wales), Ben Smith (NZ), Conrad Smith (NZ), Wesley Fofana (France), George North (Wales), Aaron Cruden (NZ), Aaron Smith (NZ), Kieran Read (NZ), Sam Warburton (Wales), Liam Messam (NZ), Sam Whitelock (NZ), Eben Etzebeth (South Africa), Adam Jones (Wales), Bismarck de Plessis (South Africa) Alex Corbisiero (England)

So, after such a plethora of great rugby in 2013, who is in your World XV of the year?

Will your team, like most, be dominated by the power and strength of the southern hemisphere? Who from the north can compete in a World XV?

We at Talking Rugby Union can’t wait to hear your thoughts and your selections.

Please tweet us your lineups @TalkRugbyUnion
