Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has recalled Exeter Chiefs' Sam Skinner and Glasgow's Matt Fagerson in the Six Nations squad.

Skinner last played for the Dark Blues in August last year and has recovered from a hamstring injury while Fagerson, who has played five Tests for Scotland in 2018 and 2019 combined has overcome a rib injury.

Gloucester second-row forward Alex Craig has been released back to the club but Scotland will miss the services of Jonny Gray for the remainder of the tournament following a hand injury.

Scotland currently are at the fifth position in Six Nations table after defeats to Ireland and England in both the opening games and will lock horns with Italy next at Stadio Olimpico on 22nd February.
