Scotland will miss the services of Glasgow Warriors lock Jonny Gray for the remainder of the Six Nations tournament following a hand injury.

Gray, who started for the Dark Blues in both the opening games of the tournament sustained the injury during the second round clash against England at Murrayfield Stadium where Scotland went on to lose 6-13.

A statement released by the Scottish Rugby Union revealed that the 25-year-old will undergo rehabilitation with his club Glasgow Warriors.

"Scotland lock Jonny Gray will play no further part in the Six Nations after sustaining a hand injury in the Calcutta Cup match against England," read the statement.

"The Glasgow player, who won his 57th cap on Saturday, will return to his club for ongoing care and assessment."

Gray has played 56 Tests for Scotland since his international debut in 2013 and is set to join Exeter Chiefs ahead of the 2020/21 season after being part of Glasgow Warriors since 2012.

Scotland currently are at the fifth position n the Six Nations table with two points and will face Italy next in Rome on 22nd February.
