Scorecard

Queensland Reds scored eight tries as they trounced Western Force 5-57 in the eighth round of Super Rugby AU at Cbus Super Stadium on Friday.

This is Reds' fourth win from seven games as they move to the top of the table with 21 points while Force are languishing at the bottom after losing all their six matches.

The first points in the game came in the 16th minute when Filipo Daugunu dotted down and James O'Connor followed with the conversion to provide Reds a seven point lead.

The winger increased the visitors' lead further with his second in the 29th minute and O'Connor, who missed the conversion, kicked a penalty goal in the 38th minute to give Reds 15-point lead heading into the break.

Force had a better start to the second half with Andrew Ready scoring a try but unfortunately for them that remained their only points in the game while Reds added further tries from Fraser McReight (55'), Tate McDermott (59' and 64), O'Connor (70'), Bryce Hegarty (73') and Tuaina Tualima (80') to complete a massive victory.

Reds will have a bye in the ninth round of the tournament while Force will play Brumbies on 28th August at GIO Stadium.
