Melbourne Rebels coach Dave Wessels has made a solitary change to the starting line-up for the upcoming game against Reds on Saturday.

Pone Fa’amausili is named at tighthead with Jermaine Ainsley dropping out of the matchday squad. Fa'amausili's place on the bench is taken by Charles Abel, who is set to make his debut for the club.

Michael Wells and Esei Ha’angana are the other additions to the bench as Rebels will be hoping to build on their momentum in the competition with three wins and a draw from five games.

“He’s definitely a point of difference for us,” said Wessels about the inclusion of Fa’amausili.

“He’s still a young guy and good performances come on the back of good preparation, so I’m not stressing too much on his performance.

“We’re pushing hard for him to get his preparation right and that he’s diligent during the week with everything he should be doing, and he’s been great.”
