Saracens' Performance Director, Phil Morrow, will leave the club at the end of the current season to join England Rugby.
Morrow’s departure marks the conclusion of a highly successful tenure that has seen him contribute to numerous domestic and European triumphs.
Morrow joined Saracens in 2011 and has since played a pivotal role in the club’s remarkable achievements.
During his time at the club, Saracens secured five Premiership titles, three European Championships, an Anglo-Welsh Cup, and a Championship victory that facilitated their return to the Premiership.
Throughout his career at Saracens, Morrow served in multiple key positions, including General Manager, Performance Director, and Head of Athletic Performance.
His long-standing collaboration with Director of Rugby Mark McCall, which spans over two decades, has been instrumental in establishing Saracens as a dominant force in rugby.
Morrow also played a crucial role in developing the club’s academy talent, particularly the highly successful "Class of 2008." This generation included standout players like Owen Farrell, Jamie George, and Maro Itoje, who have become integral to both Saracens and the international rugby stage.
Morrow’s next chapter will see him join England Rugby to enhance the national team’s performance infrastructure.
With his extensive experience and a proven track record at the highest level, Morrow’s addition is expected to strengthen England Rugby’s ambitions as they aim to succeed on the global stage.
"I want to express my gratitude to Saracens' ownership for making this opportunity possible," said Morrow.
"I’d also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mark McCall. Having worked with Mark on and off for 20 years, he has been both an incredible colleague and a close friend. His support in this decision means a great deal to me.
"It’s difficult to put into words the positive impact he has had not only on my career, but also on me as a person. When I joined Saracens in 2011, I could not have imagined the impact it would have on me and my family, I will be forever grateful.
"I’d also like to thank Dominic Silvester and Nigel Wray, if it was not for their understanding and support, I would not have been able to take this opportunity. I thank them for their support and for their friendship over the years."
