Wasps have confirmed that Paolo Odogwu has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Odogwu made his professional rugby debut with Sale Sharks in 2016 and after spending three seasons with the AJ Bell Stadium based club, he joined Wasps.

The 23-year-old tops the list for most metres gained in the season with 367 and also has made most clean breaks with 12. He is also Wasps' leading try-scorer of the season with six touchdowns from eight games.

He also represented Wasps in the Premiership 7s helping them reach the final in the 2019 season.

“I’m really happy to have extended my time at Wasps," he told the official website of the club.

“I’m having a great time playing in this team at the moment and I’ve felt at home ever since I joined the environment.

"There’s a great culture and buzz about the place and working with all the coaches over the past couple years has given me the confidence in my ability and the opportunity to show what I can do on the field.

“I have really loved my time at the club so far. All the squad are working hard to build on the progress we have made recently and I’m excited about being part of Wasps’ future.”

Wasps are positioned fifth in the Gallagher Premiership table with four wins from six games and will face Harlequins next in the seventh round at Ricoh Arena on 31st January.
