1. What is the mood in the Harlequins camp ahead of the Amlin Challenge Cup final on Friday (20th may)?
It's very good, a lot of excitement. I think the boys are going to go out and enjoy the occasion, but we realise these opportunities don't come very often so you've got to make the most of it.
2. Following some of signings this year such as Matt Hopper who will join the team from Cornish Pirates at the end of the season, what is the expectation on Harlequins with regards to next season?
That will be discussed a lot later on, the guys will have a break after this season, then the pre season will start, then the rugby will start. The goals will be set around that time, probably two or three months from now.
3. What is the highlight of your career so far?
Getting to the World Cup Final in 2007.
4. What do you think of England's chances in the World Cup this year?
Pretty strong, we have a settled side now. Over the last year we've had some good wins and some losses that we've learnt from, and we'll take each game as it comes. It's all about getting out of your group in the World Cup, and then you see who you've got in the next game if you do manage to get that far. I think with the talent and the coaching, and the preparation time we've got leading up to it, and we don't suffer any injuries I think we'll do pretty well.
5. Who is the toughest player you've ever played against?
There are a few to be honest. The South African's are always tough, they're big guys and the challenge is very much there. Thierry Dusautoir for France is a tough, tough competitor and always seems to be a stand out player for them even when they're not playing well. He gives his all and he's a tough guy.
6. What inspired you to get into rugby?
I always enjoyed it, I enjoyed all sports when I was younger, but Rugby I had a bit more of a passion for. It's the different size and shapes and skill levels that the positions require, and I like the physical aspect of the game as well as the camaraderie and the sportsmanship that it brings with it.
7. Have you got any tips to anyone starting out in Rugby?
Just enjoy it and work on your skills, really.
8. Who was your Rugby idol growing up?
Zinzan Brooke. He was ahead of his time as a number 8 and brought something different to the game. The Kiwi team of the mid 90s was certainly a team to admire.
9. What prompted you to become an Ambassador for Fix Me Naturally?
I think bruises are an occupational hazard in my sport, and playing week in week out you're obviously going to get bumps and knocks. Although we do get very good treatment from our physiotherapists, it aids the healing process and speeds it up so you feel alot better before games.
10. Should it be a widely used product in Rugby Union?
Yes, there is no harm in it, and no side effects, and nobody likes walking round with bumps and bruises so why not get them sorted?
11. How will it benefit players and teams?
Physiotherapists can use it in their treatment, so when they encounter a region that is affected, alongside their skills with their hands using a product like this will double the benefit.
