Scorecard

A stunning second half performance from Ospreys saw them claim a 21-26 victory over Newcastle Falcons in the European Challenge Cup encounter at Kingston Park on Saturday.

The result also means Ospreys storm into the quarter-final with six wins from as many games while Newcastle Falcons crash out of the tournament.

After an early try from Rhys Webb and a conversion from Sam Davies got Ospreys going, Newcastle Falcons replied back with tries through fly-half Craig Willis, replacement Rob Vickers and centre Chris Harris. Willis converted all the three tries as they ended the first half with a 14-point lead over Ospreys.

However, what transpired in the second half was absolute brilliance from Ospreys as Hanno Dirksen crossed over in the 55th minute to reduce the gap to nine points.

Ospreys made the second half their own after a converted try from Davies further brought down the difference to two points and three minutes later replacement Scott Otten touched down. Davies added his third conversion to ensure a five-point win for Ospreys leaving Newcaslte Falcons in disbelief.
