New Zealand have suffered another injury setback in their ongoing Rugby Championship campaign with Liam Squire joining the causality list.

The 27-year-old suffered a shoulder injury during the first half of the fourth round clash against South Africa but went on to play until the 58th minute when he was replaced by Patrick Tuipulotu.

As a result, Squire will now miss the remainder of the competition as confirmed by the official Twitter handle of All Blacks.

"All Blacks loose forward Liam Squire will miss the rest of the Investec Rugby Championship with a hand injury," read the tweet.

Earlier, New Zealand also lost the services of prop Joe Moody for the remainder of the tournament following a fractured thumb that he sustained against Australia in Auckland.

Following the absence of Squire, New Zealand will have Shannon Frizell and Jackson Hemopo along with Scott Barrett and Luke Whitelock to fill in the number six role.

New Zealand, who suffered their maiden defeat in the competition against South Africa last weekend continue to remain at the top of the table with 16 points from four games and will face Argentina and South Africa in the final two rounds in Buenos Aires and Pretoria respectively.
