Ulster Rugby have confirmed that scrum-half Nathan Doak has signed a new contract extension that will keep him with the province until the summer of 2028.
The 24-year-old, who is approaching 100 senior appearances for Ulster, has been a regular presence in the side since making his debut in January 2021.
A product of the province’s pathway system, the Lisburn native has developed into one of Ulster’s key playmakers, combining sharp game management with a reliable kicking game.
During the current United Rugby Championship season, Doak has been among the leading performers off the tee and remains one of the competition’s most productive kickers in terms of metres gained.
His consistent form at provincial level has also been recognised at international level, earning him selection in Ireland’s 2025 summer touring squad. He has additionally featured in Ireland ‘A’ fixtures against England and Spain, further underlining his progress.
Doak said the decision to extend his stay was an easy one, highlighting his belief in the direction Ulster are heading and his desire to continue developing within the environment.
“I’m excited to have re-signed with Ulster for the next two years. I understand the responsibility and significance of wearing this shirt, it means everything to me.
"From my discussions with Rory, he made it clear to me the direction in which he sees Ulster going and that is something I wanted to be a part of and believe we can reach.
"I want to help the team keep moving forward while also improving my own game, and I feel Ulster is the best place for me to do that.”
