England centre Meg Jones has been named on the three-player shortlist for the 2025 World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year award.

She joins Canada’s Sophie de Goede and New Zealand’s Jorja Miller in contention for the honour.

Jones has been one of England’s most reliable performers throughout 2025, impressing with her defensive work and attacking contributions in midfield. Her form has been a key factor in the Red Roses’ unbeaten run to the World Cup final.

Canada captain de Goede has stood out since returning from injury earlier this year, excelling in carries, offloads, and lineout play while contributing heavily from the kicking tee.

Miller, crowned Women’s Sevens Player of the Year in May, has made a seamless transition to 15s, scoring five tries in six Tests for New Zealand, including standout performances at the World Cup.

"This remarkable Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 has demonstrated the very best of our game - the values, the unity, the incredible energy," said World Rugby chair Brett Robinson.

"At the heart of its success are our players, the stars of the show, who have not only been exceptional performers on the field, but who have forged an incredible bond with fans.

"Today. we are excited to reveal our World Rugby awards nominees in the women's categories. Congratulations to all, but also to all the players, coaches and match officials who have played their full part in an era-defining year for the sport."

The winner of the Women’s 15s Player of the Year will be revealed during the World Cup final at Twickenham, where England face Canada. Miller is also nominated for Breakthrough Player of the Year, alongside Josifini Neihamu of Fiji and Braxton Sorensen-McGee of New Zealand.
