The Springbok Women have confirmed a demanding international schedule that includes home Tests against the USA, New Zealand and Ireland, along with an away fixture against Italy in Fontanafredda.
Springbok Women Confirm Italy Test
South Africa will travel to Italy to face the Azzurre at Stadio Omero Tognon in Fontanafredda as part of their busy 2026 international programme.
The fixture adds another major challenge for the Springbok Women, who are set to face four opponents currently ranked inside the world’s top 10. Italy are ranked sixth, making the away Test an important measure of South Africa’s progress against elite opposition.
Springbok Women Home Test Schedule
Before travelling to Italy, the Springbok Women will host the USA in a two-Test series on July 4 and July 11. The USA are currently ranked eighth in the world and will offer a strong early test for South Africa.
The Bok Women will then face New Zealand’s Black Ferns at FNB Stadium on September 5 in a historic fixture. The Black Ferns are ranked second in the world and remain one of the most successful teams in women’s rugby.
South Africa will later host Ireland at Athlone Stadium in October. Ireland are currently ranked fifth, adding further quality to a challenging run of fixtures.
South Africa Build On World Cup Progress
The Springbok Women last faced Italy at the 2025 Rugby World Cup, where South Africa won 29-24 to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
