Harlequins have confirmed that back-row Luke Wallace has rejoined the Gallagher Premiership with immediate effect.

This will be Wallace's second stint with the club after having previously played for them between 2009 and 2019 and has gone on to make 169 appearances for them including 112 Premiership games. The 30-year-old also captained Harlequins to victories in Aviva ‘A’ League and LV= Cup.

Following a 10-year stint with the Quins, Wallace had a brief stint with Greene King IPA Championship side Coventry before making a switch to Leicester Tigers last summer during which he went on to play 13 Premiership games for them. Having represented England Saxons in the 2013/14 season, he was also selected in the England squad to face Barbarians in the summer of 2014.

“Firstly, I’d like to thank Tigers for the opportunity and experience over the last year. It was great to work alongside some special players, coaches and staff in one of the league’s biggest teams," he told the club's official website.

“I’m super excited to be making my way back to Harlequins. This Club means a lot to me and I can’t wait to get involved in the push towards the title this season and onwards.

“This is a special group with huge potential, and I can’t wait to get stuck in with old friends and some new faces. It’s an exciting time to be part of Harlequins.”

Harlequins are positioned fourth in the Gallagher Premiership table with 11 wins from 19 games but will face Bath Rugby next round at Twickenham Stoop.
