Lions came up with a seven try performance to secure a 51-14 win over Bulls in their Super Rugby clash at Emirates Airlines Park on Saturday.

This was also Lions' 11th win this season from 12 games as they continued to dominate Africa 2 Conference while Bulls are positioned second in Africa 1 Conference despite succumbing to their eighth defeat.

Ruan Combrinck (1' and 40'), Kwagga Smith (21'), Ruan Dreyer (24') and Warren Whiteley (30') were the try scorers for Lions in the first half with number 10 Elton Jantjies kicking four conversions and two penalties to take them to 39 points before half time.

Bulls response came from touchdowns from Jan Serfontein and Jesse Kriel while Francois Brummer added penalties on both occasions but that remained their only points in the game as they trailed by 25 points at the end of the first half.

Tries from Franco Mostert (42') and Franco Mostert (79') ensured there was no fairy-tale comeback for Bulls as Lions completed a massive 37 point victory.
