Scorecard

Fly-half Yuri Kushnarev contributed with 11 points as RC Enisei handed Worcester Warriors a 19-12 defeat in the European Challenge Cup encounter at Slava Stadium on Saturday.

The home side raced to a 10-0 lead inside the first seven minutes when Davit Kacharava crossed over while Kacharava added a penalty and a conversion.

However, fullback Josh Adams responded with a try of his own in the 10th minute and fly-half Jamie Shillcock's conversion allowed Worcester Warriors to come back into the game, reducing the gap to just three points which remained until the teams headed into the half-time.

Kushnarev continued his form in the second half as he added two more penalties in the 50th and 64th minute to stretch the lead to nine points. But replacement Derrick Appiah had other plans as he brought Carl Hogg's men back in the hunt with a 71st minute touchdown which brought down the difference to just four points.

Just when it looked like the game might head either way, replacement Ramil Gaisin scored the decisive drop goal that sealed the game for RC Enisei.

The victory has taken RC Enisei to the second place in Pool 3 of the European Challenge Cup.
