Northampton Saints have confirmed that back-row forward Josh Kemeny has signed a new contract to remain at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, securing his future with the club.
The 27-year-old joined Saints in the summer of 2024 after arriving from Super Rugby, and quickly made an impact in Black, Green and Gold.
During his first season in Northampton, Kemeny scored six tries across 21 appearances, establishing himself as a regular presence in the matchday squad.
Kemeny was part of the Saints side that finished runners-up in the Investec Champions Cup, starting the final in Cardiff against Union Bordeaux Bègles.
His performances over the course of the campaign were recognised at the club’s end-of-season awards, where he was named both Players’ Player of the Season and Coaches’ Player of the Season.
An injury delayed his involvement at the start of the current season, but the Australian flanker has returned strongly. He has crossed the line in successive matches against the Vodacom Bulls and Sale Sharks.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Kemeny said he feels he is still developing at Saints and believes the team has more to achieve.
“I feel like I am just getting started here at Saints,” Kemeny said. “I feel like I have improved as a player since being here and I have been a part of some incredibly exciting fixtures.
“My welcome into the Club, and into the town, was amazing. From the boys in the squad and the coaching staff to the wider community and everyone connected to Saints, I don’t think I could have been made to feel more at home. That’s been a massive factor in my decision to stay."
