London Irish have announced that props Jamie Dever and Ryan Bower have joined the Gallagher Premiership club ahead of the 2021/22 season on short-term deals.

A former Ireland Under 20 international Dever made his professional rugby contract with Connacht in 2014 and represented Houston Sabercats and San Diego Legion before recently representing Old Glory DC in 2021 season.

Meanwhile, Bower had two spells with Leicester Tigers apart from a stint with Worcester Warriors and Nottingham (loan). He also represented England Under 20 side in the Under 20 Six Nations and Junior World Championship in 2011.

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney is delighted with the additions to the squad.

“With Facundo (Gigena) called into the Argentina squad and Luke (Green) and Tarek (Haffar) only just returning to pre-season training after their exploits with England Under-20’s, we’re a little bit light numbers-wise at prop, so to be able to add both players to the squad for the next few months will strengthen our options, both on match days and on a daily basis at Hazelwood, he told the club's official website.

London Irish will kick-start the 2021/22 season of the Gallagher Premiership with a clash against Worcester Warriors at Sixways on 18th September.
