Kyle Rowe makes switch from Edinburgh to London Irish

London Irish have signed winger Kyle Rowe from Edinburgh Rugby ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Rowe started his professional rugby career with Glasgow Warriors to provide cover during the 2019 World Cup Cup before switching to Edinburgh in 2020.

Having been part of the Scotland Under 19 and Under 20 teams and was selected as part of the Scotland 7s squad for the London Sevens tournament in 2019. He went on to represent the 7s side in four tournaments in which he scored seven tries.

“I’m really looking forward to joining London Irish, a Club steeped in incredible history," he told the club's official website.

“It’s a great opportunity for me to come down to London, playing for a Club that has big ambitions to continue to progress in the Premiership next season.”

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney is looking forward to see Rowe in action.

“Kyle works hard at his game and will give us some added strength in the back-three division," he said.

“We’re pleased he’s agreed to join us and looking forward to him joining the group for pre-season.”

London Irish finished the 2020/21 season of the Gallagher Premiership at ninth place after managing six wins from 22 games.
